It strives to accommodate all of the country’s experiences and symbols to tell one coherent story.Freedom Park is a cultural institution housing a museum and a memorial dedicated to chronicling and honouring the many who contributed to South Africa’s liberation. The museum aims to preserve and narrate the story of the African continent, and specifically South Africa, from the dawn of humanity, through pre-colonial, colonial and apartheid history and heritage, to the post-apartheid nation of today. It is a long walk, spanning some 3.6 billion years.

We are all about eco friendly Sport and Fly Fishing. Our options include a variety of destinations, a short drive just outside Johannesburg in Bronkhorstpruit, Magaliesburg or Cradle of Humankind (much closer than you think) to bucket list trips in South and Southern Africa. Fishing equipment is available to hire and you can book fishing lessons with our experienced facilitators. We have some of the best fishing available for you to enjoy.
We are proud to introduce our latest fishing operation – Sundowner@Oxbow Country Estate. The venue offers a “Dullstroom” fishing experience and it is right on the doorstep of Pretoria. Day fishing access for leisure guests and conference/team building for corporate clients. Bass fishing (fly or lure in summer) and Trout (fly only in winter) is available in the pristine dams surrounded by the most beautiful grounds. Tasty light meals, snacks and drinks are available from the Lakeside Cafe. The Annual Winter trout fly fishing Competition will be hosted on 12th July and competitors stand the chance of winning fabulous prizes and meeting awesome people.  Luxury accommodation is also available if you want to spend the night.
The hot days and spectacular thunderstorms are a clear sign that we are fully into our African Summer. This provides perfect conditions for indigenous fish (yellow fish, Tiger fish, kurper, catfish) and well as bass, carp etc. Winter will soon be upon and trout fishers can look forward to world class fly fishing on our still waters
